What to Make of Tab Trade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

The Broker - What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
